Sweetie, happy Week 25 to you! You’re steadily growing bigger and stronger! I can feel you move all around in there. You seem to like pushing up against the right side of my tummy a lot! And your kicks are getting quite powerful! You sleep once in a while, and you’re active most of the time. It makes me happy to know you’re moving all around in there.

I’ve been on bedrest, but I’ve been keeping very busy with all sorts of projects. We gotta start saving up for your college fund… or maybe just a year supply of diapers for now. lol

I love singing “Ballerina Girl” to you, except I change the lyrics to “Little Baby Girl.” …you make me feel like, there’s nothing I can’t do.

I’m taking my Glucose Tolerance Test this morning, so wish me luck! I’ll have to tell you how that goes later today.

Last Sunday, your Auntie Lana and Uncle Cuong came to visit! They brought yummy food over — we love the bok choy and black mushroom dish by the way — and we had lunch and just hung out. Lana and I made some scrapbook pages too. Fun, fun!

Your baby at 25 weeks
She’s enjoying her new sense of equilibrium — she now knows which way is up and which is down. She’s growing more fat and more hair too!

Your baby’s the size of an eggplant!
During month six, the average fetus measures about 13.6 inches to 14.8 inches and weighs about 1.5 to 2.5 pounds.

How your baby’s growing
Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn’t much more than an average rutabaga or eggplant, but she’s beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she’ll start to look more and more like a newborn. She’s also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you’d now be able to discern its color and texture.
