Week 26 – My Little Musician
Sweetie, you found a new toy to play with. You’re plucking and strumming the umbilical cord like a musical instrument. lol I know you are because it’s tickling me from the inside. haha
This week’s update? Well, Daddy’s changing our diet a bit. Less sweets (fruits) and breads, and more dairy and protein. We need to pass our glucose test next week, and we’re hoping the diet change will help.
I know you’re in there dear, and I love how you constantly remind me. You’re very, very active this week, kicking, punching, moving, pushing, and pulling. Your most active hours are late at night from 2-3am, and early in the morning while I’m sleeping from 6 – 9am. Daddy checks on you before he leaves for work, and he woke me up a few times because you kicked him so hard. lol
Your Auntie Jade (my youngest sister) has been visiting often and taking very good care of us now that summer school is over. It’s been really nice since the day isn’t so lonesome. We’ve been watching movies and crafting together, so it’s been a lot of fun! She even helped me organized all my crafts. Only she would know how strangely I organize my papers and embellishments. I’m working on our Pregnancy Journey Scrapbook right now. I can’t wait to show it to you once you get older! And I’m very proud that I knew you were in there before your Week 4!
Your Uncles AJ & Aaron came over for our biweekly Panera lunch today! I got the strawberry chicken salad this week.. trying something new and cutting down on the bread. I hope you enjoyed all the fruits in it.
4,294 viewsHow your baby’s growing:
The network of nerves in your baby’s ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner’s as you chat with each other. He’s inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he’s born and takes that first gulp of air. And he’s continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.
