Shopping Spree

I had my postpartum doctor appointment check up today and I was strangely excited about it. It was in fact my first time out of the house since Thanksgiving! I had no idea how hot it was this holiday season. lol Although, it would have been better if I got more sleep the night before. Katie was up all night fussing so I couldn’t sleep until 5:30am. My appointment was at 9:30am, so I only got a short nap.

Anyhow, the doctor said everything looked fine and gave me some advice on all the questions I had. And I always have plenty of questions for him. He asked about my labor and was pretty happy with how everything went. He also said that I wouldn’t need to come back to see him until 2014.. that’s unless I’m pregnant again soon, which he predicts will be the case. lol

After my doctor visit, I wanted to do a bit of shopping — note, I haven’t went shopping in months! — for my little one. First stop, Babies R Us. Good thing I wrote a shopping list, otherwise I’d be so lost in my sleepy state. I got her a few things here and there and was already surprised at how much things were adding up.

I also stopped by Michaels for a bit because I wanted to start making baby hair accessories. I spent less time in there than I did at Babies R Us. lol

Target was next.. and you know how it goes when you go there! A little of this, and a little of that, and boy did things really added up. And it was mostly baby stuff! Bottles are expensive you know? And she did need some more clothes.. ahh. I may start reviewing baby stuff soon. I’ve learned and read so much about baby prouducts over the last few weeks.

Anyhow, it was nice having some me-time, but I did miss my little darling. I headed home in the afternoon to see her sound asleep in Daddy’s arms.
