First Family Vacation at the Flower Fields!

Yay! It’s our first family vacation! Daddy made some surprise last-minute plans for us, and it turned out great! It was your first trip away from home and you did wonderfully! We’re very proud of you!

We left late Friday afternoon and headed to Carlsbad, CA. You slept the whole way there! You didn’t wake up until we checked into our hotel. Once you had your dinner, Mommy and Daddy went out to eat as well. We found a place called Ogata Japanese Cuisine. Here’s my dinner! You woke up after we finished eating and you loved looking at all of the red lantern decorations! You’re getting more and more curious each day.

We stopped by the Carlsbad Outlets for about an hour, just walking around. Great exercise for Mommy and Daddy.

The next morning, we headed out to The Flower Fields and it was amazingly gorgeous! I’ve never seen miles and miles and miles of beautiful flowers before! You had on your flower sun hat, sunglasses, and baby sunblock to enjoy the place! Everyone kept stopping us to talk to you. lol Daddy bought us a big bag of kettle corn, which YOU loved! You found the texture quite interesting and kept playing with the bag. We walked a little over a mile and there was still so much more to see. We’ll have to come back again soon before the flower season is over!

This small trip was great practice for us. As long as we took our time, you were quite happy and comfortable. You loved looking around and exploring all the new places. We had a great time, made a lot of great memories, and will be taking more trips again soon! (Many thanks to your Uncle Isaac for letting us know about this beautiful place!)
